Geografía de la luz

Zimmermann travelled thousands of kilometres across Patagonia to show how light transforms the landscape: sometimes as sharp as glass, at other times reflecting off the glaciers.

That gaze inspires this experience, which combines naturalist observation and photographic practice in a territory where every detail reveals itself differently depending on the time of day and the weather.

Geography of Light is a journey that invites you to train your attention and your eye, to discover how the nuances of light reveal hidden stories in the Fuegian landscape.

The key is to inhabit the landscape through its changing light and through the details that hold stories, as in Zimmermann’s photographs, where each image seems to contain the weight of time and the voice of place.

Here the aim is not to impress with grandiose views, but to find within them an intimate vibration.

You travel without rushing, you observe, you learn to wait. Each image —and each silence— thus becomes a shared ritual, a way of listening to what the place has to say.

The group shares photographic and contemplative exercises, accompanied by a naturalist guide and a local photographer, who help read the light as one would read a text.
